Puyenca
The Puyenca site is situated on the southern coast of Peru, a short distance from the Atico River valley. Although it was previously known in the literature, the first full-scale archaeological excavations were conducted only in 2024. During these investigations, numerous sunken stone structures were discovered. In the northern part of the site, burials were uncovered: adults interred together in a single grave, as well as children whose remains were placed in vessels.
