El Curaca
The El Curaca site is located in the lower course of the Atico River, on the southern coast of Peru. Archaeological investigations there have yielded abundant evidence for the presence of organised pre-Columbian communities in this area. Excavations have revealed both individual and collective burials with traditional grave goods, including spindle whorls, needles, and beads made of shell and stone.
