Student and Doctoral Americanist Symposium

Wrocław, 4–5 September 2025
The principal objective of the Symposium is to enable early-career scholars specialising in the history and archaeology of the New World to present the results of their research in the form of oral papers and posters. It is likewise an excellent opportunity to showcase ongoing projects throughout the Americas, with particular emphasis on archaeological and anthropological investigations. Proposed contributions should cover a chronological span ranging from the earliest traces of human activity to the Colonial period (seventeenth century).
This conference is affiliated with the international Americanist congress, the Fifth International Symposium “The Latest Results of American Studies”, 2025. Accordingly, Symposium delegates will have the opportunity to attend keynote lectures delivered by leading experts from across the globe. The event will also foster the exchange of experience among representatives of diverse research institutions and will provide an ideal forum for discussion of every aspect of New World archaeology.
The Symposium is hosted by the Student Scientific Circle of Archaeologists at the University of Wrocław and the Institute of Archaeology, University of Wrocław.
